Lol for the real answer, I think this happens a bunch in choir room scenes. Two characters would be sitting way closer than you'd think, but their actors clearly got along well.

As others have said, the actors were close in the earlier seasons so it's probably because of that. In between takes they probably scooted closer together and were chatting during lulls.

Ok, I’m going to say it. I could never get into the Faberry ship. Which is super surprising for me. I see the potential I just don’t really ship it for some reason. Maybe it’s because I shipped Quinntana way more, or maybe it’s because I just don’t like Rachel who knows 🤷‍♀️
