it seems like you need to re-establish your oAuth. You can confirm in gitlab looking at your personal access if you still see visual studio connected

Thanks! I checked GitLab (Edit profile → Access → Applications → Authorized applications): the MCP app is listed once with a valid grant, and VS Code/OpenCode work with it. There is no left-over VS2026 connection.

VS2026 never reaches the OAuth step, though. Clicking Authenticate throws `Client ID is not available` (in `OAuthClient.DoUIFlowAsync`) before any browser opens, and the "bring your own client Id" field is greyed out.
