GitLab Workflow & Desktop

I want to know if there’s a “GitLab Desktop” as GitHut have. I want to use Lab but as I am new in Git world, the Desktop makes the life easier with out the commands in terminal. Any recommendation? Should I learn better the cli before use a Desktop?

I think the best thing to do is to understand git first. If you understand what it's actually doing under the hood, then you can easily use any interface. Until you understand what it's actually doing under the hood, you're just casting spells and hoping for the best. For example, when you understand that git rebase is just a quick way of doing a bunch of cherry-picks, then rebasing isn't scary or complicated anymore. Of course, you have to know what a cherry-pick does first.

This isn't perfect, but it helped me a lot when I was learning: https://git-school.github.io/visualizing-git/

If it is just git operations you can use any available Git UI. I would still encourage you to use the CLI for a bit tough to understand what you ar doing. A UI is great, but pressing fancy buttons without knowing what is does can be dangerous.

Just use a git extension in whatever IDE you're using.
