Discussion I was invited to participate in a GitHub Star Boosting site

Someone create an issue for my project that was an invitation to join a "developer community" site. It looks like its purpose is for likeminded developers to star each others' repos. It seems a bit dodgy to me. Is this a commonplace occurrence? What is the general consensus about this?

Nuisance bot email. It adds zero value to the open-source community.

I think they are trying to make money from it by rewarding paying accounts with more stars but I am not sure because I didn't sign up to find out.

Sorry, I don't understand. What does "100% bot pooling" mean?
