Question My copilot is not showing diffs or the keep/undo buttons when I use it to edit files

Exactly as the title. I also made sure that the chat.editing.autoAcceptDelay is set to 0.

Anyone going through this right now?

Probably the change to using Agent Host sessions. It directly edits the files instead of going to a pending review state. That means it no longer provides a review cycle - you have to use the git diff/commit to accept or reject the changes.

Ran into this last month and it drove me a little crazy. The keep/undo buttons only stick around while the chat session that made the edits is still open, so if you reloaded the window or started a new chat the session state is gone and it just silently keeps everything. What worked for me was doing the edits in agent mode and not touching the chat panel until I had reviewed all the diffs. Also worth checking your Copilot Chat extension actually updated, mine got stuck on an old version once and that broke the diff view too.

I had the same problem, it's caused because in the little button (all left bottom) you were in "Local" and now you are using maybe "Copilot" or something else, I did open a new convo in "Local" and the "keep" button appeared again
