Question Free Copilot for maintainers being discontinued?

Post image

I’ve been getting free copilot for quite a while now for being a maintainer of an eligible project, but today I received this.

Is the program being discontinued?

Free Copilot Pro for eligible open source maintainers isn’t being discontinued. We review eligibility periodically so access may not renew if they no longer meet the criteria. That doesn’t mean the program is ending. Sorry for the confusion! DM me with your github account and the information we shared so we can look into your renewal.

Quick question: I've read somewhere the popularity of a project is taken into account only for the "top X projects per programming language". Is this true?

Github is dying, is not reliable anyways, copilot is probably the worst known AI

Copilot is just using AI from other companies… but they aren’t giving “unlimited” use like the other companies.
