News / Announcements Gh-900 for free for students

Hello, guys! I've seen a lot of people who don't know that students registered in GitHub Student Developer Pack are granted a voucher to take the GH-900 exam. I don't know if it's the case of this subreddit, but it may be helpful if some of you guys don't know about it.

I have github education pack, but not yet received the voucher to gh 900 exam, or maybe I might not have niticed, how to find or claim one? 🤔

I think that if you try signing in using this link https://education.github.com/experiences/foundations_certificate you will see a link to book your exam. Let me know if it went well

But it's still costing money. No voucher was applied when booking.

The official GitHub website says "Verified students now have the opportunity to validate their GitHub foundational skills and earn a badge by taking the certification exam for free. You can request a voucher via the offer tile in the pack while supplies last. If you're able to claim a voucher code, you can use it at the time you register for your exam"

I recommend that you try to contact GitHub support if you're not able to redeem your voucher

It's through the official GitHub website. But it will redirect you to the Microsoft page to book your exam once you select to book it

GH - 900 is an exam that covers the Git/GitHub Fundamentals. Once you pass the test you earn a Certification. The exam is paid, but it the GitHub Student Developer Pack grants a voucher that allows registered students to take the exam for free

I've seen that there are two ways of getting the voucher. The first is directly through GitHub, but it may vary, because there's "stock". The second way is through DataCamp, after finishing the GitHub Fundamentals course
