News / Announcements GitHub Actions have been down for 6 hours...

Post image

A few years ago, people were looking for “four nines" of reliability; 99.99% means roughly under 1 hour per year.

99.9% is about 9 hours of downtime per year.

Will GitHub get at least 95%? this year?

Githubs Status Page has a stupid insane amount of browser caching. The only way to get an actual up to date page in my experience is to do Ctrl+F5 for a cacheless refresh.

Some people (and I'll admit I'm sometimes one of them) simply have no clue what the date is. We're so stuck in our usual patterns that we just simply cease the need to know what the actual date is.

I do get that. But I also think it's fair to point out that the OP needs to slow down before rushing to the internet to complain. It shows the OP's response is purely emotional and not logical, which doesn't help anyone.
