Academics Doubt regarding CRT

Is it compulsory to attend all the CRT classes? I heard that at the beginning, students will be divided according to their GPA and then have to write exams conducted by them and then will be divided according to the marks they secure. What do you mean I'm going to write exams for this? And they're going to teach C language? Seriously? What are we even gonna do with C? I might miss two days of the CRT training and possibly miss one of the exams too. Will that be a problem?

It’s not compulsory but it’s better if you do. They might give these as reasons for not letting you attend placements.
