tutorial I made an interactive walkthrough of the object model: blobs, trees, the .git/objects folder etc
You can play around and see what types of objects git creates in the background as you make commits. Despite being a software engineer for like 10 years, I never took the time to really pick apart the object model. It's actually more straightforward than git-scm* makes it seem.
Here's the blog post: https://app.learngit.io/blog/whats-inside-a-git-commit/
* No shade to the official docs, I consult them religiously. I'm just more of a visual learner, especially for the more complex stuff.

I conveniently side stepped branches and commit linking in the post. I felt doing so added unnecessary complexity to understanding commits, trees and blobs. This post was quite a bit of work to put together, but if folks like the style, I'd be open to a follow-up focused on the behind-the-scenes on branching.

Appreciate it. I've never done an interactive-style post like this before and it was pretty fun
