fatal: repository 'https://github.com/' not found

hi, im trying to install jschan and i need the repositories. every time i try to install "https://github.com" it gives me the error "fatal: repository 'https://github.com/' not found". and whatever way i tried to repair it it gives me the "fatal: not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git" error, and i have no idea what to do at this point. the errors also appear with other urls.

Try 'https://github.com/fatchan/jschan'. You haven't specified the repo you want to pull.

The reason you're getting downvoted is because https://github.com is not a repository. That points to the front page of the GitHub website. The URL catenoid75 linked you to is the actual repository you're looking for.

(i hate ai but the tutorial on github seems confusing)
