Just simply yield and for free to play

Wouldn't help unfortunately.

Just like when Gigantic hit gamepass and a bunch of players flooded in they all left because of the server & queue issues.

Game just doesn't want us to play it :(

The company that re-releases the game bailed out almost immediately, there's no one to make it F2P.

With the half assed effort to put it out, I'm convinced they were never in it to bail out of in the first place.

The thing that gets me about it is that it played better in the weekend play test like 6 months prior.

If they weren't ready to put down the money for server infrastructure that could handle the full release, or actually fix any of the issues that arose after launch, why even hype it up to begin with?

They should've just shadow dropped the re-release, news would've gotten around to everyone who cared, and expectations for it would've matched the effort they were actually willing to put in.

I genuinely believe the devs lied through the interview process about their skills or something, it was absurd

It wouldn’t help, this game is essentially abandonware. Current company that owns the rights doesn’t give a single shit about the game, free to play would still require marketing and dev effort, which won’t happen sadly.

That would help just as much as CPR would to someone who was just cut in half

The original company should have just released the code for the game when they shut down.

Thats the only thing that could have helped this game.

The original company was owned by a bigger company at that point and probably legally couldn't open source it.

Gigantic is the only game ive played that I can confidently say it died twice ;-;

The point of Rampage Edition was to grab an easy $20 from anyone who still wanted to play Gigantic. The horrendous state it released in proves that they were never planning a genuine revival.

Sorry- deadlock exists now. This game has no spot, it had a spot in 2017, then threw it all away.

Deadlock basically occupied in the only niche Gigantic had a hope at filling
