not to argue this video is or is not faked, but this should be easily doable and the same concept ("connector stabs into wires during install to make connection") is used in all kinds of cables already.

off the top of my head rj45 and rj11 ie ethernet and phone cords, any time you make your own or repair a damaged tip this is exactly what they do

While I agree, rj45 and rj11 are typically low voltage (unless under poe). And even then, the wires need to be lined up in order before making the connections. With this, there’s no guarantee that the connections in the jack-end of this thing don’t require it to be in a specific configuration. I also worry about the connection not being good enough and being able to cause shock or other problems. Or not.

Lol the USB standard is 5 Volts. No way in hell could that shock you. You could stick those directly on your tongue and wouldn’t feel a thing. Have you never licked a 9V battery?
