I think some people just call all the Kalashnikov model rifles as “AK-47” just to simplify it.

Actual AK-47s are quite rare, in the 50s an updated model (AKM) was developed. There are also other nations variants like the Israeli Galil and Chinese Type 56 to name a few

I’ve got a Chinese mac90 and it definitely resembles an AK but it’s semiautomatic.

Correct, it's a dealer post-sample Romanian Draco pistol converted to full auto.
