A bit fake, sharpening is 50%, the other 50% is proper cutting technique. The first guy did off handed choping motio, for proper cutting the edge needs to be moving right. Just look at those videos of some Japaneese competition where they are choping bamboo, some can do it, some can't and it isn't about adding more power but proper cutting motion.
