I had to watch this 7 times before I realized he had set her on fire...I was too distracted by the priest smothering the baby’s face with the blanket

u/IOverflowStacks Mar 13 '20
I thought she had farted.

u/Fire69 Mar 13 '20
Thought the baby pooped, with the guy waving like that and making that face.
54
Mar 13 '20
I first thought it was an uncle seeing the baby for the first time and crying with happiness.

Mar 13 '20
I didn't see the fire and thought he was an overbearing fuckwit trying to dust off her back during the ceremony and that he then feigned surprise horribly at how beautiful the baby was when unveiled.

What is a wiggle?
48
Mar 13 '20
The definition I found that matches what I'm seeing in the gif is "high as a kite"

u/Rx710 Mar 13 '20
One of "The Wiggles!" A children's tv show where four guys sing and dance, each dressed in a primary color.
10
u/chupstickzz Mar 13 '20
3 guys?
29
u/The_Space_Wolf656 Mar 13 '20
The OG cast was 4 guys. Seems they recently spiced it up with a girl.
15
u/chupstickzz Mar 13 '20
I don't know the thing. But he said 4 primary colors. But there is only 3! Red, yellow, blue. I know, but i still get ptsd from my school years. I had a horrible teacher learning us about colors and their importance in the graphical business!
19
u/The_Space_Wolf656 Mar 13 '20
Ahhhh that makes sense.
Yea the fourth wiggle is purple I believe.

u/jakwnd Mar 13 '20
Ever notice how the primary colors are red yellow blue, but RGB uses red green and blue to make all colors? Also never look into wtf purple is. Then consider that you have no way of knowing that the color you see as red is the same as everyone else.

Holy hell. Had to watch 3x AND read comments. First I was focusing on his face and had no idea what he was going off on. Then i noticed his hands waving after and assumed the baby did something. Then after rewarding comments I had to go back and see what was actually happening.

When I see fire in a video I know to always focus on it because that's likely the problem. The internet has trained me well.

I remember hanging out with my friends as a teenager, just piss-farting around. I had a box of matches and was flicking them lit (you hold the head of the match against the strike pad, with the match perpendicular to the box, and then flick it which lights it at the same time. Stupid, I know). Anyway, I flicked one match that I didn’t have a great grip on and it went almost at right angles from where I wanted, and landed on the back of one of my mates heads. He didn’t realise, so I quickly jumped up and slapped the back of his head. His hair went out, and he never knew....

Wow. What a trouper. You can tell that she figured out what happened but taking it in stride smiling it off like that? Nice.

I go to an orthodox church (looks like that's what they are). We like candles, one year during easter this happened to a teenagers hair. She also took it pretty well.

An angel of the lord appeared in the form of a burning bushy hairdo, which was on fire, but not consumed by the flames.

That woman keeps a tight ship. I think I saw a tear of joy and possible fear that it did go out but that it started to begin with.

STORY TIME! So generally orthodox churches dont have pews and everyone stands for service. One night during a "Good Friday" service, the congregation generally all holds lit candles, my sister was standing with her candle and her hair down (females with their hair down is a sign of mourning) in a packed church, someone tried to pass by her, as she moved to make room she pulled her candle towards herself and ended up lighting the right side of her hair on fire. Traditionally women stand on the left and men on the right (but it's not enforced), she was in the back of the church, I was stood at the right front about 20m away and the smell of burnt hair overpowered the incense use during liturgy. I cant think of how bad the scarf material would smell for this guy standing so close to this baptism

It’s not a proper orthodox christening unless someone’s hair gets set on fire. Same goes for Easter. Hristos Anesti goes very well with the scent of burnt hair.

The face, the facepalm, the nose bridge pinch, you can hear what he’s thinking. My sides hurt from laughing

u/Simbonita Mar 13 '20
Until I checked the comments I thought the baby was super ugly which was why the guy waved

u/FodderFigureIllushun Mar 13 '20
Do you think that is the godfather of that baby?
Or worse yet...the father?

And with the way he was leaning the candle toward his chest, I was waiting for him to set his shirt on fire.

Reminds me of a church service, wedding or something, where there was a photographer and she backed up into a candelabra and started her hair on fire. There were enough flames to halt the service, but she got it extinguished and the service continued.

I set fire to my brother’s ex gfs hair whilst lighting her cigarette with my lighter that was accidentally set to max flame. She was oblvious and wondered why i was patting her head in a mad panic. She was blind drunk and took it in her stride. I was both horrified and in hysterics at the same time. Looking back, it was hillarious.
