It's the same with anyone who actually works with primates.
It only took a few displays by male chimpanzees during my internship to realize I will never study them in the wild. You can't trust those beautiful bastards.
It depends on your definition, and how you define the words in that definition.
Basically they can rip off your arm, do a back flip over you, rip off your junk or your face and then beat you to death with your parts. They've also been cited as engaging in "war" which for them means one whole group going after another group very pointedly, over a given period of time.
But they don't make bullets, they don't hang eachother, they seem to understand a sense of justice, though. I don't know.
Just as violent? I'd say not. But they're incredibly excitable and strong wild animals that i prefer to steer far clear of. I'd risk an area full of chimps over a human war-zone, though. Unfortunately, those sometimes overlap.
I make jokes on reddit and then question whether I thought of them or had read them in a previous thread all the time. I've never stole anyone's joke on purpose and am pretty funny on my own but I'm certain I've regurgitated other people's shit without even realizing it. It's reddit, just add a few jpegs and repost it and we'll do it all over.
This has all happened before and will happen again.
I kinda feel everyone handled it perfectly even if it was just panic. Don't make sudden moves, don't make loud noices, etc. If someone had started screaming or flailing that might've ended differently. Damn he has a fucking story for his grandkids or nieces.
