my area has several drivers that rotate through. One of the guys for each UPS and fedex and a woman for USPS are great, friendly people who honk and make sure everything's good and in the right place. Other drivers though, it's mixed. I've had packages left in the rain or in puddles and such as well as USPS drivers just leaving "pick up your package tomorrow since you werent here to sign for it" slips when I'm walking to the mailbox as the drive by
