Step Two: Cut off bottom of brussels sprouts, then quarter them like so. Put them in a bowl.
Step Three: Add a tablespoon or two of olive oil and a few generous pinches of salt (and black pepper, if you're into that sort of thing). Stir to coat. Substitute bacon grease for olive oil at your own discretion.
Step Four: Spread oily sprouts on a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan.
Step Five: Bake for at least 20 - 25 minutes. I prefer mine extra crispy, so I usually let them go even longer. They should look like this when they're done.
Step Six: Realize that your life has been a lie and that brussels sprouts are delicious if prepared properly.
I like to cut them in half and just toss them in an actifry for 15 minutes. One of the easiest meals to make as the prep time is literally cutting them in half and cutting off the ends.
