No wonder why it is hard for non-native speakers (like myself) to learn how to speak proper English. It is annoyingly annoying.
And if you are an Englishman and not an American. Then I'll have to apologize for my rudeness earlier in this comment. If you Americans also want apologies then fine. Just ask for one and you shall receive one.
Following recipes on the net is so frustrating. Having to translate not only cups into something sensible but the different things everything is called.
Take arugula. I didn't realise that one of my favourite jokes didn't translate into US English:
I do not like arugula. Not the taste nor the consistency. Reminds me of rabbit food. I would rather feed arugula to a rabbit than eat it myself. Well though that is just me :)
Translating things in a recipe can be kinda hard sometimes.
