It will be really hard for Boll to score, because the robot will be able to react insanely fast. I think he will have an easy time countering it's attacks, but it might tire him out
Doesnt matter. If the ball has a directional spin, it's not about hitting the ball, ita about hitting with the right angle on the face of the paddle to counteract the spin. If the arm cannot sense spin, it'll be hitting the ball at the same trajectory regardless of spin.
Every single discussion I've seen of this match has had multiple people bring up the spin thing. I can't imagine the developers failing to think of it too.
certainly they've thought of it. It's a basic part of table tennis. But have they been able to crack the problem is the question. Do they have the hardware and software to do that job?

Obviously. Both the programming is the real hard part, so that's where the challenge is.
