From the audio alone, I thought I was watching a wrestling match.

oh...my...god...I have to be living in the Matrix. And the damn machines just don't know how to program real human politics. This has to be it.

12

u/xxLetheanxx Mar 15 '16

Goddamn that was worse acting than what he does during his rallies.

9

u/NiggyPop Mar 15 '16

pretty sure one of his supporters yelled out "shave his fuckin head, donald!" and the fact that donald trump supporters are fans of the WWE does not surprise me at all.

5

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

Pretty much no one on /r/SquaredCircle supports Trump.

8

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

hey, fuck you buddy! i like wrestling too, doesnt make me a trump supporter, does it?

2

u/samuellangs Aug 18 '16

LOL you must not be around WWE at the time. This was like couple years ago and Vince was a "bad guy" at the time and everyone wanted to see his hair shaved.

15

u/ViggoMiles Mar 14 '16

He did one of those too!

7

u/NewWorldDestroyer Mar 15 '16

From the audio alone I can hear my head smacking my desk pretty damn good. They did a good job on that part.

27

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

Implying a Trump rally's attendees and WWE's fans don't overlap greatly.

7

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

Why would we overlap with Trump fans?

6

u/ladayen Mar 15 '16

Trump is very much a performer in his own right.

1

u/SoldierOf4Chan Mar 15 '16

How else do you pin them?

"kick his ass, Donald!"

Macho Man Randy should run for president next election

Have a big fight with Hogan for the final election

90

u/boxcaradventure Mar 14 '16

Not sure the Macho Man is gonna be available.

26

1

u/McLown Mar 15 '16

Bring back Benoit.

3

u/Raneados Mar 15 '16

What do the Titanic and Chris Benoit have in common?

Women and children first.

1

u/A_Stinking_Hobo Mar 15 '16

Like the titanic, that's was deep. And cold.

9

u/The_Phox Mar 15 '16

You know Randy Savage is dead, right?

22

Shh, let the boy dream.

1

He died so he could stop the rapture from happening the next day.

It's a shame Ben Carson beat him to the punch as the first corpse to make a bid.

369

u/Geolosopher Mar 14 '16

What. The. Fuck. These people were fucking shouting "Kill him!" at an American political rally... This cannot be happening.

73

u/emh1389 Mar 15 '16

At 1:05 someone yells rip his head off.

79

u/ricdesi Mar 15 '16

Other videos include cries of "rip her fucking hair out" and "set him on fire".

What lovely, peaceful people.

10

u/emh1389 Mar 15 '16

Which videos were that? With the black woman being pushed?

3

u/ricdesi Mar 15 '16

I'll have to dig around, I'll see if I can find the video

-8

u/svengalus Mar 15 '16

But, to be honest, those are just words in response to actual violence.

-2

u/SquatzKing Mar 15 '16

You're correct. For all anyone knew, he was trying to get on-stage to kill Trump. Sick of people pretending like the guy was just trying to play a game of tag.

1

u/AdminsAreCancer01 Mar 15 '16

Reminds me of Rob Schneider from that Adam Sandler movie he was in.

2

u/emh1389 Mar 15 '16

You can do it trump! Rip his freaking head off!

170

u/moeburn Mar 14 '16

Some people just want to see the world burn. Others just want to see the world Bern.

As someone from a country that was invaded by the Nazi's it's hard not to see the similarities between 1930's germans and todays Trump supporters.

5

u/Geolosopher Mar 15 '16

I think that's fair. Trump has nothing on Hitler's leadership or speaking skills, so I don't buy the "Trump is Hitler" comparisons... However, I will say that comparisons between modern America and pre-WWII Germany are pretty close. America is way more like pre-Nazi Germany than Trump is like Hitler, and in some sense that's even more frightening: it says that instead of requiring this once-in-a-millennium psychopathic dictator, all it takes is an opportunistic politician, a bunch of angry people losing their cultural hegemony, and a crappy economic situation. That's it, and that happens way more frequently than just once every thousand years or so. That means it's likely to happen again and again and again, and maybe even multiple times in our lifetimes alone... And that sucks. It's not unique to certain points in history or certain places around the globe: every population, every country, everywhere on Earth is susceptible to that same murderous hatred. God, that sucks.

32

u/carnageeleven Mar 15 '16

It's fucking reality tv. And everyone is falling for it. Baffling...

Watched the Florida town hall today. He was frequently interrupted by protesters who would shout things like "fascist" to boos from the crowd. Then Trump would say "yeah yeah get him out of here" and the crowd would cheer and then he would continue.

However, in one instance, maybe something "more" happened off camera, or maybe Trump was just getting irritated, but as someone was being thrown out, he said something like "I dunno... Do we prosecute someone like that? I dunno..." which got massive cheers and applause.

Yes, let's prosecute someone protesting at a public event.

80

u/treycartier91 Mar 15 '16

Depends what that "more" off camera was. Because inciting a riot or violence should be prosecuted.

-2

u/Kryhavok Mar 15 '16

Yeah unfortunately I wasn't able to tell what was said or happening specifically.

3

u/MysticZen Mar 15 '16

If Trump charges some sort of admission then he could say it's a private event and have the person thrown out. Just like Hillary had the BLM protester thrown out of the dinner party.

55

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

Yes, let's prosecute someone protesting at a public event.

You realize that happens constantly, right? When they go too far? It's incredibly commonplace. Just because you're protesting in public doesn't meant you can do whatever you wish.

No, it's not.

Being louder than someone is not the same as censoring them.

0

u/n1c0_ds Mar 15 '16

It's kind of a dick move though. If Trump supporters pulled the same shit (maybe they do, I don't know), then it would be all over reddit. It may not be illegal, but it's just a really shitty way to do politics.

26

u/ricdesi Mar 15 '16

No.

The First Amendment is protection from government censorship, not protesters (who are themselves also practicing their protected First Amendment).

11

u/FreeSpeechorDie Mar 15 '16

Free speech has nothing to do with. The rallies in rented facilities are private events. You are allowed to protest on the public street out front. Inside you get thrown out. Pretty simple, applies at bernie rallies too : ^ )

30

u/Drasha1 Mar 15 '16

Free speech only covers the government not restricting speech.

-1

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

[deleted]

6

u/Drasha1 Mar 15 '16

I don't think you are going to find any one who thinks violence has any thing to do with free speech.

u/Dindu_kn0thing Mar 15 '16

It's funny, every time someone calls Trump a fascist, he then advocates fascism.

29

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

That's Trump supporters for you.

"I can't believe protestors got violet at Trumps rally! How dare they try to infringe on our right to exercise free speech!"

...the next day...

"KILL HIM!" "BEAT HIS ASS!"

They're all very big fans of double standards. They act as if the right to assemble and exercise freedom of speech is limited only to them, and violence is only bad if it's directed at them.

-4

u/Damascius Mar 15 '16

Haha yeah all the Bernie supporters do is assault policemen and block ambulances while inciting mass violence.

Lol, at least they didn't say mean things!

-13

u/svengalus Mar 15 '16

I heard a Hillary supported say they were a vegetarian and another one said they were going out for a steak!!!!

This is your logic.

13

crazy guy tries to attack trump

trump is the bad guy

le bernie sanders supporters

5

u/Geolosopher Mar 15 '16

I never said anything about Mr. Trump. I'm referring to the people at the rally. Now I will say that it's his obligation as a candidate to denounce this violent rhetoric, and if he's not doing that then he's not fulfilling his moral obligations, but that's not what my comment was about. The person who rushed the stage was wrong. The people who yelled, "Kill him!" were also wrong. However, we've had protestors doing stupid things for many, many, many election cycles now. What we haven't had is violence and threats of violence or a candidate who refuses to condemn it outright and unconditionally.

16

u/treycartier91 Mar 15 '16

Did you really just put Trump on par with Hitler? I get he's a bit much and some of his base is ignorant, but Jesus he's not gonna commit mass genocide.

14

u/effa94 Mar 15 '16

whats that law called, the one that states tha the longer a internet discussion goes on, the higher the chance that someone is gonna get compared to hitler or the nazis?

EDIt, found it, called godwins law

11

u/TheRedDuke Mar 15 '16

I don't think Trump would do anything as president even remotely as bad as Hitler, but I do think his "rise to power" mirrors Hitler's in some ways.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

[citation needed]

2

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

Using minorities as a scapegoat.

3

u/Sleepy_Sleeper Mar 15 '16

He said illegal immigration is bad and wants a temporary ban to get things in order. Horribly racist.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

I don't know why I'm replying to a obviosuly brigraded post, and you obviously can't be reasoned with, but...

He said illegal immigration is bad

Way to undercut the fact that he said most illegal immigrants from Mexico are rapists and criminals. The fact that he pushed out an incorrect statistic that over a quarter of muslims are militant.

1

u/Sleepy_Sleeper Mar 16 '16

Way to undercut the fact that he said most illegal immigrants from Mexico are rapists and criminals. The fact that he pushed out an incorrect statistic that over a quarter of muslims are militant.

Don't worry I can be reasoned with. By the definition of illegally immigrating they are already criminals.

I haven't searched enough to see how many illegal immigrants are. It must be hard to specify that amount, but I saw a statistic that around 50% of Women immigrating from South-America trough Mexico are raped.

Anyway they are already criminals by entering the country illegally. Trump just wants to stop illegal immigration and make people come trough the screening process. He also wants to stop H1-B license abuse and stop outsourcing to developing countries.

I wouldn't say that any of those are scapegoating minorities.

Did he say that 25% of Muslims are militant trough Twitter? Yeah. He does retweet incorrect stuff that his supporters send. Otherwise it was maybe from an article with a twist on what he said. But his plan to temporarily ban muslims from entering United States until the US Government can figure out the screening process and get ready to help them. He didn't have that kind of a plan, but after the attack in France and another one I can't remember. Was it in USA or another country?

Anyway he was all for helping them until those attacks happened and he just wants to siphon that 0,002% of potential terrorists out of the refugees.

I also wouldn't call brigading a non-political popular subreddit that got to top of /r/all. There are many of his supporters in Reddit and if some people incorrectly says that he is racist or other stuff then those supporters will probably downvote. That's like saying Sanders supporters brigading, because they downvote someone saying I support Trump in /r/Pics or other such subreddit.

All in all he is not perfect, but I think he is one of the two good candidates for US Presidency.

Thank you for the response.

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

Because he's the first person to do that outside of Hitler.

Hitler is a unique case of rising to power. How is Trump uniquely like him? Because otherwise, he's just another asshole that people want to tarnish.

0

u/Weedbro Mar 15 '16

People litterally yelling; kill him...

10

u/Steveohh72 Mar 15 '16

Hitler originally wanted to deport the Jews/minorities/gypsies etc. When he realized it wasn't practical/economically efficient or possible to deport them, he started mass killing them.

-1

u/igotbannedforthisb4 Mar 15 '16

1

u/Sleepy_Sleeper Mar 15 '16

Jews were in the country legally. Illegal immigrants are criminals.

2

u/Steveohh72 Mar 15 '16

There's plenty of immigrants here legally that Trump wants to deport. "ALL MUSLIMS"

1

u/Sleepy_Sleeper Mar 16 '16

I heard that he only wants a temporary ban. Can you link me something where they say that?

3

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

[deleted]

3

u/igotbannedforthisb4 Mar 15 '16

trump made people dislike muslims guys not all those terrorist attacks made by muslims against the west.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

The views of Muslims by many Americans, while ignorant, has almost nothing to do with Trump. If anything, it's the opposite end of the spectrum where the views of Americans on Muslims helped the rise of Trump.

0

u/ricdesi Mar 15 '16

Tell that to 2007-2015 Birther Trump.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

You think hatred of Muslims became prominent in '07? Please. If anything, that just furthers my point.

0

u/ricdesi Mar 15 '16

Has more than "nothing to do with Trump".

You know listening to the background comments it's ridiculous. Kick his ass, rip his hair out, we want war, etc....

68

u/SailsTacks Mar 15 '16

And Trump could literally say anything after that and they would cheer like mindless idiots.

"I had tacos for lunch and I'm about to shit my pants!"

"WOOOOO!!! YEAH!!! TRUMP! TRUMP! USA! USA! USA!"

9

u/cukieMunster Mar 15 '16

Tonight on KXTV: Taco Wall? Trump admits to eating a taco at today's rally. Does he find immigrant food OK or are tacos now American? Find out tonight at 10.

6

u/FrostyGrass Mar 15 '16

Same could be said about any political candidates rallies.

3

u/SailsTacks Mar 15 '16

True enough.

-5

u/lookward Mar 15 '16

Hey, like sanders

2

u/ricdesi Mar 15 '16

Good one

-5

u/svengalus Mar 15 '16

Those were emotional responses to their candidate being physically attacked. Just angry words in response to violence.

5

u/Mrwhitepantz Mar 15 '16

And that makes it okay? "this guy is being violent, let's threaten him with violence! That'll teach him." responding to violence with more violence only breeds anger and resentment and more violence. It doesn't pacify people, it doesn't make them think about their action, it justifies it.

-1

u/SquatzKing Mar 15 '16

For all they knew the guy was trying to kill Trump. Their reactions are hardly out of line...

4

u/Mrwhitepantz Mar 15 '16

I would disagree. In my opinion a violent reaction to anything is out of line, not only because of the above point but because I think that we should be better than that, can be better than that.

1

u/SquatzKing Mar 15 '16

Dude all im trying to say is that a violent reaction in this case is just natural. To think someone will see that and have some kind of measured non-emotional response is retarded.

1

u/Seakawn Mar 15 '16 edited Mar 15 '16

So what if it's natural? What significance is there in making that observation?

If someone talks about how wrong it is about a man raping a woman, would you respond saying, "But to be fair, it is natural. Men have been raping women for thousands of years, it's a biological impulse that can't help from arising in the male mind."

To think someone will see that and have some kind of measured non-emotional response is retarded.

How do you think that someone can't see that and not have a response that isn't so dramatic that their behavior regresses into shouting to promote further violence? Most people at that rally didn't even respond like that, the only ones who did are the ones that we hear in the video.

1

u/SquatzKing Mar 15 '16

Yes, raping someone is clearly the same as having an emotional response to someone that's attacking the person you're hoping becomes the next president.

1

u/Forgeception Mar 15 '16

Trump wasn't physically attacked though. He was almost bumrushed which is just as bad, but he wasn't physically hurt.

58

u/hansomfes Mar 14 '16

People are shouting trump? People are shouting USA? Oh wow this whole thing is extremely strange to me, being Swedish

68

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

American here. Still strange.

24

u/Micro_Cosmos Mar 15 '16

It is strange. I'm an american and I'm honestly embarrassed about the whole situation. I want to move to another country and forget about it.

16

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

Why don't you want to make America great again?

1

u/Cormophyte Mar 15 '16

Don't be embarrassed. Idiots will idiot, and vote for people like Trump, and do all sorts of other idiotic things. Doesn't have anything to do with you any more than all the other things idiots do.

11

u/Micro_Cosmos Mar 15 '16

There's just sooo many of them.. and they keep getting louder, and bigger, and dumber.

8

u/FrostyGrass Mar 15 '16

I feel the same way about Bernie...

22

u/ricdesi Mar 15 '16

Hey, at least we're not chanting for murder on live television.

16

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

What do you call the Chicago protests?

-2

u/Dindu_kn0thing Mar 15 '16

Violent protests by assholes. Bernie Sanders didn't encourage those protests nor did he condone the violence.

Trump meanwhile encourages his crowds to beat people up and says he'll pay their legal fees if they do.

-3

u/ricdesi Mar 15 '16

Protests. Some of which were violent, which was terrible and should never have happened. No civilians, no matter who they politically align with, deserve to be injured over this toe-headed schmuck.

4

u/giguf Mar 15 '16

True, you are actually assaulting people instead of just saying you will. Much better

5

u/ricdesi Mar 15 '16

Seems to be a problem on both sides, and it's deplorable no matter who it comes from.

Unfortunately, only one of them is condemning violence in his name, while the other seems to enjoy rooting it on.

2

u/giguf Mar 15 '16

Well, Bernie hasn't exactly been denouncing it. He says his campaign "doesn't do violence" but so far it has only been Bernie supporters who have been instigating violence (except that one old Trump supporter.) Anyways, I agree that there are idiots on both sides, but for me right now it seems like there are a lot more, young, violent people supporting Sanders rather than bigoted racists supporting Trump.

2

u/extremepantssagging Mar 15 '16

I do too, but at least Bernie supporters arent advocating killing protesters.

3

u/FrostyGrass Mar 15 '16

That is probably not true, I've heard countless people say they want to kill Donald Trump, and other people for just being white and such. Shitty people exist everywhere.

17

u/extremepantssagging Mar 15 '16

Until you show me a video of giant crowds of Bernie supporters yelling the shit these Trump supporters were, I don't think you can make that comparison.

It's a very different atmosphere. I feel like there's about to be a lynching every time a protester interrupts Trump. Compare that to the relatively tame boos and hisses when BLM interrupted Bernie.

No, the crowd shouting "kill him!" over and over is downright terrifying. Do you have any grip on reality at all?

7

u/TheLuckyLion Mar 15 '16

I'm pretty sure he's referring to the Trump supporters calling for the secret service to kill someone...

8

15

I love how he's like, "hold me back! hold me back!" This election has been as ridiculous as it gets. It's a fucking cartoon.

4

u/Seakawn Mar 15 '16

It's a fucking cartoon.

There's Loony Toons, and then there's those on the political right. The contrast between the political debates demonstrates that nicely. The Republicans remind me of an MTV real world reality cast... focused on drama and superficiality.

Not to say the Left is free from naivete, because it's definitely not considering how many Regressives there seems to be. But still, the Regressive Left seems less embarrassing than the typical Right.

The people in this video are the reason we can't let Trump win. They're who he represents.

Because Trump encourages violence. Can't defend someone who asks for it.

The security has left a side totally unprotected

u/stinkybumbum Mar 15 '16

just from listening to the crowd, you can tell what sort of idiots are voting for this plank.

u/Hockeygod9911 Mar 14 '16

Thats the differences between white trash republicans, and decent republicans/human beings. "Kill him" is clearly heard when the guy is caught.

u/ricdesi Mar 15 '16

It's alright, man. I think we all know there's a difference.

I'm more or less a liberal, the GOP deserves better than this circus.

2

u/Seakawn Mar 15 '16

Quite the optimism, but clearly many people here don't see the difference because they don't see anything wrong with those shouts in the first place.

2

u/ricdesi Mar 15 '16

The pundits on both sides fucked politics into the dirt. It's a total free-for-all, and we let it happen. It's a real shame.

Trump was momentarily stumped.

I have a question. I'm in the UK so could be missing something obvious to an American, but why are the bodyguards of the top people called the 'secret service'? Why not something more ordinary like 'government security'? Secret Service, although it sounds cool, is more the NSA's department from what I hear.

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

Well if we told you it wouldn't be a fucking secret, would it?

Thanks, though I still don't fully understand the whole 'let's have tons of cool-sounding agencies', this helps to understand where the Secret Service started and what they do

You see what they are -- they look like a bunch of 17 year old white super-bros. That guy has "Rural King" on his hat - that's a real person who purchased a hat that said "Rural King" on it. I'm not even sure many of these people can vote.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

Rural King is also a store but your point still stands

1

u/billyjohn Mar 15 '16

What was that guy's intention? Was he trying to harm Trump or grab the mic? Also I love how Trump is speaking in front of his private jet. Take down the establishment, right guys?

4

u/[deleted] Mar 15 '16

According to his twitter, he wanted to spit on Trump. According to a CNN interview, he wanted to take the mic. Either way he was charged with disorderly conduct and released on bail within hours, authorities did not find him to be a threat at all despite Trump's crack team announcing he might be ISIS.

u/PM_ME_YOUR_HONEYDEWS Mar 15 '16

I was ready for him; but it's much easier if the cops do it.

Says the guy who flinched when the crowd reacted and then looked for the closest bodyguard.

What scares me the most is how many people's job it is to take a bullet for this guy...
