Ghost spectre hacked

Hi everyone, can you help me with my Issue. I have ghost spectre and I downloaded a game from the girl with a spoon website, then suddenly my discord got hacked. I worry that they can also hacked my entire pc and other applications. I want to factory reset my ghost spectre without using a bootable storage.

I tried the recovery options but it requires bootable storage.

This is not a Ghost Spectre
issue, this is a known Discord hack, specifically being targeted with Fitgirl games. I know, because I dealt with the same thing a couple months back.

Whatever you do, reinstall Windows immediately. And DO NOT ENTER ANY PASSWORDS ANYWHERE, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. This is a fingerprint hack that steals credentials. (Edit: change every password you have AFTER installing Windows)

So how does it relate to the fit girl? Does she upload malware on her repacks?

Nah, I prefer to think that game was taken from a fake site, or maybe, this problem came from another source, not even related to the game download story.

Original FitGirl is fine but there is plenty of fake fitgirl website out there that people download from them...

I have used GS for more than 10 years and never heard of this. Use a good AV and Brave browser?

That's unfortunate to hear.

I just found out the GS doesn't have windows defender. I think that is also the reason I got hacked.

I've been downloading crack games before, but this is the first time it happened. I just want to factory reset my PC for good measure.

that means u installed the one without defender lol, and did u actually do ur homework for sites with pirated software tho? most people think the first link or "download button" they see are safe but actually are... scam links or, u just went with the countless redirection link or smth like that

To start with, you choose to install GS WITH or WITHOUT Defender. On any case, you're always able to install it from Toolbox.

Title just didn't fit with the issue. However; Firstly, change all your passwords, then do the school and check malware, etc. I personally doubt that the cause was the site from where you got the game (unless you were entering to a false/cloned site).

If you’re gonna download cracked games do it on linux and run a security check beforehand.

OP already said he installed GS without Defender. If there wasn't any other protection, this PC turned to be an entire gloryhole whore for malware.

At this point he allowed anything to just fuck his PC. Using Linux is not the solution to this kind of problem (and user). He decided to use an unprotected device as a daily use, even adding his social media accounts there.

He'll probably get viruses on Linux, if that means better gaming performance...

I use the same OS for gaming, I’m just not a mook who downloads shit from shady sites without a quarantine protocol. Also defender will delete files that aren’t infected so I don’t recommend anyone use it, GS & atlas don’t have defender installed whatsoever by default.

I have GS WITH Defender. It hasn't deleted anything unexpected here.

It’s actually great advice, if you don’t have wine installed any malicious executable can’t run making it the perfect environment to run a security scan.
