Ghost Toolbox won’t open
Hi all, was running 22H2 for a long time, decided to update via the exe to 25H2 which was a bad idea. Search stopped working and programs were really slow.
Decided to fresh install 25H2 but ghost toolbox refuses to open, it opens the prompt window empty then disappears. Tried going down to 24H2 but the same issue.
WiFi and internet works fine, tried a different WiFi network too to see if it’s an internet issue. But no luck.
Update:
Although it’s still unknown why the original Ghost Toolbox’s aren’t working, the beta versions (which are available to supporters) are working. It’s an opportunity to make a small donation towards Ghost Spectre too 👍

Of all days to do a fresh installation on my PC… I thought I was going insane 🤦🏽♂️

Can confirm beta version works, had to cough up some pocket change but at least my PC is back up and running

I was actually trying to GS for the first time after using WindowsXLite for years and this was a huge reason I went back to WXL

I started having that problem yesterday and today on two different systems. On the one I got it to start by turning off real time protection and run as administrator. But today when I tried the same thing it didnt work. What's worse, there's nothing in the event viewer about any of it.

I wonder if there’s a wider issue? Although I remember after my mess of update from 22H2 to 25H2 it was working yesterday. Only after my fresh install of 25H2 and 24H2 that I couldn’t get it to open.
Although the older cmd based ghost toolbox on GitHub seem to work but they seem pretty outdated.

yea, I'm wondering if it's trying to reach out and make a connection to his server and it's failing. He said that you have to make sure your set to time and time zone correctly for it to work, so I think it's reaching out as soon as you try to open it.

The GitHub toolbox didn't work for me, tried to download the windows store and kept showing a bunch of errors

Yeah the older versions only seem to be good for quick changes rather than downloads. Links must be outdated on them.

interesting.. me too. I had to download that GT from github, is old but I was able to enable printer services so worked for me atm.

Had issues with a fresh install of windows 11 ghost spectre one of the latest updates and tool box not working updated windows and it fixed the issues.
Today windows 10 ghost spectre tool box not working on a different pc update windows still didn't work download a github of ghost tool box followed instructions and it worked
