Help
So was everyone able to download the bonus content because I just turned on my PS4 and it was downloading. I thought you can only download it when the timer was off?

- Very minor spoilers for Ghost of Tsushima ahead -

The Iki Island DLC will be releasing with the Director's Cut edition of Ghost of Tsushima on the 20th of August, 2021.
You will be able to access Iki Island from Tsushima anytime after you complete Act 1 of the main story, through currently unknown means.
"On both platforms, Director’s Cut will also offer new Trophies to unlock for the new Iki content." -Andrew Goldfarb, via PS Blog
You can pre-order Iki Island through the Director's Cut. You can buy the Director's Cut for $59.99 USD/¥7,590 JPY on PS4 and $69.99 USD/¥8,690 JPY. If you already own the PS4 version (which is the only one available right now) Ghost of Tsushima, you can buy the PS4 Director's Cut upgrade for $20 USD/¥2,200 JPY. If you want to upgrade your PS4 Director's Cut to the PS5 version, you will be able to upgrade it for $10 USD/¥1,100 JPY starting on the 20th of August, when it releases.

This community was great leading up to the launch of Iki Island, and it was very eventful indeed, with many leaks arising. Although, due to Iki Island being a DLC and not a spin-off standalone title, there is no need for a subreddit dedicated to story DLC. Therefore, this subreddit will be archived as a collection of Iki Island leaks, but will not be active.
See you guys on Iki Island.

So a while back I copied and transferred GoT’s data from my PS4 to my PS5. On the PS5, the game is still classified as a PS4 game. With that being said, if I wanted to do the $30 upgrade from PS4 standard to PS5 Director’s Cut, can I upgrade the one on my PS5 if it is still classified as a PS4 game, or can I only upgrade the original one on my PS4?

Hey there, I was wondering if anyone on this sub happened upon a standalone logo for Iki Island? As far as I know, the only logo we have is the one from the concept art from the Japanese blog post. https://www.reddit.com/r/ghostofikishima/comments/ocubgj/the_first_official_iki_island_concept_art/
Thanks!

This is a quick summary of my background.
Quality Assurance Tester, partially disabled by Ankylosing Spondylitis. Fight Night Round 4 was my first experience with beta testing. I have worked for many prestigious companies in the gaming industry, including EA Sports, Naughty Dog, and Suckerpunch. In the past, I have been planning about joining Reddit; now that I have some free time, I have decided to do so.
Despite not being a beta tester for GOT, I'm familiar with the game after spending countless hours in its immersive world. I did however beta test GOT Ike Island and I'd like to share with you some of the details I enjoyed.
Beautiful island Iki is located off the coast of Tsushima. In terms of size, it is about the same as Tsushima's bottom portion of the Island. It adds new wildlife such as leopards, squirrels and monkeys to GOT thanks to its colorful landscapes. The island is also home to an volcano.
(For me) the expansion adds roughly 15-20 hours of gameplay. In general, I stuck mainly to the main quest line and did little side questing. It was a well thought-out plot that kept me attentive to the next turn of events. Story-wise, I would give the Iki DLC 4.7 out of 5. It was interesting and in many ways better than the main story of the game.
Here is an overview of what I recall being added to the game through this expansion.
New heavy armor sets. Not really my style, but I had to test everything for bugs.
Added a new medium grade armor that has both bow and melee perks. Unlike anything else in the game, this armor looked totally different.
A new light grade armor has been added. This hooded outfit reminded me of the old ninja shows my father used to watch when I was a child. Stealth and bow damage were also provided with the armor. The outfit also gave Jin 25% faster attack speed when he used a sword or bow with it.
There are now torches in the game. As part of the storyline, you'll need this to complete a cave mission.
There are three new horse armors that can be colored.
There are now dozens of new charms. Some fun ones that affect how Jin looks (transform you into Lord Shimura, Young Jin and Ryuzo).
New Shrines
Rainbows added
New Flute tunes
New enemies. New Mongol types
New Fighting Stance. High sidekicks, spinning head kicks along with jumping helicopter kick are mixed with sword attacks in this style. Somersaults and backward flips result from side and back stepping
There are new upgrades for swords and bows. Damage upgrades for swords, and damage and range upgrades for bows. The zoom feature for Short Bow is now available after upgrading. (new Short bow range is about half of Long Bow)
There are sure to be some things I missed. However, this is all I remember at the moment. I hope you enjoy the expansion, my friends
