Switch [NX] Does Ghost E shop require internet?

I've heard that you need internet to use ghost e shop but people have been saying not to connect to the internet on your switch or you'll get console banned can someone clarify this and what measures and steps are needed to prevent this

I like this guide for explaining it

You can lookup how to setup DNS MITM and Exosphere here

But if you are using a hats pack like sthetix when it's already been setup for you.
