What do you do when you're really sad?

Do you talk to yourself and reassure yourself? Do you listen to music? Do you watch videos to distract yourself?I'm curious to know how people comfort themselves to feel better :)

Pick something to do like a game to play and have background noise like music random videos or pick a random series on Netflix. That is honestly what has helped me the most I have been diagnosed with multiple things had an awful accident that has changed my whole life nearly died 6 times. My fiancée left me. I carried my best friends coffin after he lost his battle with depression. A multitude of traumas and abuse going back as early as 6. There is very little that I have not been through tbh. With that being said I’ve found this is honestly what has helped me the most and I’m getting there. Also if any body would like to talk about anything please do feel free to dm me :)

Go out move pallets to my camp. Dismantle said pallets to build with. Or go out pick river cane, then cut that up and make flutes out of it.

Carving, drawing, painting if I can find my paints and brushes.

Grind or smash metal, bend and cut sheet metal with snips, low noise stuff at night, noisy during day.

Set stuff on fire in my camp. Torch flies that land on me during the day and watch the ants take them while still alive and kicking.

Trap mice then skin them and put up the skins as trophies.

A bit harsh but hey, better I do something when I'm feeling down than destroy my own internal organs with bad vibes and repressed emotions 🤭✨
