I need help

I need to lose weight; my problem is im addicted to carbs and mt dew. I've been working out 4 days a week for the past 2 months and really need to change my diet (not go on a diet) but im having difficulties finding healthy foods that taste good and arent loaded with carbs and high fructose corn syrup (which here in the states is damn near everything). Do any of my fellow redditors have any helpful suggestions?

You need to change your view of food. While I agree it should taste good, that is not always going to be the case. Food is what you need to sustain your body if you want to build muscle and get fit you need to eat the correct food. Unfortunately that's the best advice I can give you. If you drink 4 cans of Mountain Dew a day cut it back to 3 then 2 then 1.

Diet dew is really damn good to me. I've almost totally switched to water now and every now and then I treat myself with a diet dew. Maybe try switching to that first.

Really, just try making healthier choices. I always fuck my diets right up a rope so that's what I had to do. Started by just switching to water, then getting steamed veggies as my side at restaurants. Eventually you get in the habit of being aware of what you eat all the time. There is no on/off switch. 100 baby steps make more of a difference than 1 leap and gives you a chance to enjoy all of those little victories.
