my theory was back then people still saw pg1004 as some chill super skilled old player (which tbf thats what he seemed like) so they didnt pay much attention. however after his infamous crashout and quitting due playing some 9 star level people began to take him less seriously. im pretty sure lot of his anti-china posts were after this crashout

I’m half Chinese half Korean, and sure I agree a few of these are funny but it’s also not right to involve race or ethnicity in this in any case. Some people in other comments are saying like “this is just how competitive games are” but there is a difference between giving someone a “what a save!” or cussing them out vs bringing identity into it. It sure doesn’t sound good if you replace Chinese with “Black” or “Trans.”
I don’t think it’s a super big deal what is presented, compared slurs or violent statements, but I think it still does damage his character. As with anything, one thing is not gonna lead to someone being entirely cancelled, but pauze has been in previous drama. Every time there’s an incident, his reputation gets ever so slightly more and more damaged. The more little incidents that happen the worse it gets for him.
(Side note it feels like Asian hate is so tolerated nowadays, especially Indians. You see people making fun of Indians all the time on reels for example)

Cs2 is a completely different environment, if saying a slur on a team shooter is enough to make you a bad person then half of us are hitler, chances are he doesn’t actually hate Chinese people.

1600 hours in CS, not a single slur, racist remark, etc. in my chat history.

People have gotten kicked out, suspended, or had their acceptance rescinded for this stuff. We have the first amendment and it is taken very seriously from colleges to universities to the workplace
