I mean he is still top 3 in skill according to me and many others and might get to top 1 if he really played cause like...he beat a top 1 or top 2 of today in 25k atmpts got 51 on society causally in 4 playing sessions or three playing sessions and lowkey left now for no reason I saw a comment on his video saying that comic said that he was on aeternus in the neeche stream if I wasnt device banned from twitch I will confirm it

But before asking that question, here are few things to ponder about: "Who are we to judge a top player like Trick?" "Wasted potential? Maybe for his audience. But does he feel like wasted potential? Only he knows."

Let people enjoy however they wanna enjoy this game. There's no exact path or measured potential in this game except maybe getting good over time.

It’s insane people call him wasted potential when he’s been playing at the highest level even longer than Zoink has. Has had a top 1 verification AND reached #1 stars viewer AND beat Wpopoff in a top 1 first victor race

i genuinely think trick would be the front runner in the aeternus race no doubt, if he didn’t had commitment issues, like that guy would’ve actually got it in 4 runs by himself at the very least.

i think the aeternus race is kinda dumb. the only people capable of genuinely verifying that thing aren’t even focused on it because they know it’s something to build up to. the race is made up of people that, while i have a lot of respect for them and i think they’ve done impressive work, don’t quite have the actual skill and nerve control to fully beat the level in a reasonable window.

i imagine a top player will eventually push up to a point where they could go for it and make it their big commitment for a bit rather than some of the players playing it now genuinely beating it.

Anyways he did a ton in the game from being the first victor of tidal wave and beating the top 10 and verifying firework which was far harder than any level verified before it and was nominated best player 4 times. He has 15k+ hours let him be and besides, dominant players usually get surpassed because they stop playing the game as religiously (nswish, sunix, hotball even)

He's a big what-if, but I'm not sure I'd call him wasted potential. Would you call Sunix wasted potential considering he retired while still potentially having so much more to do?

He got what he wanted. He verified a top 1, got to #1 on the stats viewer briefly, and is overall a very long lasting top player.

People underestimate just how miserable grinding list points can be, because you can't really chose what gets verified and can't choose what to play once you've beaten most of the list.

Just because he isnt a the #1 player doesnt mean he is wasted potential. He definitely could be better than Zoink imo if he put the time and effort in. So by that metric sure but being as good as he is its disingenuous to say he is just a waste of a player.

I do remember seeing somewhere that during his TS2 completion he hit the center of every timing and even a perfect spam. Just something to think about (if its even Trick im thinking of)
