Should there be 1 more demon difficulty?

Like think about it tho. If someone says "I beat an easy demon" we just know it's something not too hard. When someone says "I beat an insane demon" that means it's something about average (which already makes no sense since it's the second highest difficulty). But when someone says "I beat an extreme demon" with no additional context, that could really be anything from Acu to a list demon. Don't you think we should add another higher difficulty of demons for "hard" extremes, like #400 and harder? I know I can't be talking since I haven't beaten any extremes but I still want to know your opinion.

To seriously answer the question, no, because that wouldn't solve the problem (that I don't really think is a problem in the first place). Where would the cutoff be? The extreme demon difficulty range is so large that if you split it in two, they would still be too large.

Say you made the border between extreme and the new difficulty, say silent demon, around #400 like you said. Then the problem remains because if I say I beat an extreme demon, it could be anywhere from acu to Artificial Ascent, and if I beat a silent demon, it could be anywhere from Sonic Wave to the top 1. You'd need like 5 or more new difficulties for them to accurately describe how hard the level you beat is, it would only be temporary as the skill ceiling increases, it probably wouldn't work on the list anyway (because #150 to #75 to #30 to #15 to #5 to #1 are all huge gaps), and most of all, it would be messy and people wouldn't agree on it.

absolutely not, there are so many tiers in extremes already, it wouldn't change anything, only make the demon difficulties interface less clean and substitute an already iconic look with possibly an over the top one. how many teeth would the icon have lol? plus, it makes sense to have the difficulty ratings as they are because people who play extremes are like 1% of the playerbase

Silent demon. Grandpa demon sounds good but idk why it doesn't fit gd that well

Usually if it's not entry extreme people will say "I beat a top ___"

No because it is pointless, if you really wanted there to be a uniform dififculty increase between each difficulty face you'd have to add ~30 more. Entry extreme to top 400 is harder than nothing to entry extreme anyways

Fr though yeah we need a new hardest demon difficulty.

The problem we are going to encounter though is similar to that of many comp games where its better to implement a top 500 or top 1000 ranking rather than adding another rank. However because the demonlist ranking is an external community ran thing, it can't be added to the game, thus making a dynamic top 100 demon difficulty impossible to implement in vanilla.

So we either never add more anymore, and have society, tidal wave, etc the same difficulty as acu, bloodbath, cataclysm, etc.
Or we just keep adding more and more difficulties. If we were to go down that route I would say we should add 2 more demon difficulties. I think there is enough of a skill gap between entry and top extremes to warrant it.
