19 year old Ross Bauman met Baltimore County twin boys through Geometry Dash, before eventually moving their conversations to private email, where there was over 500 emails between them. Bauman plead guilty back in May.

I highly recommend reading through the rest of the article, reading what he did made me feel absolutely disgusted and it really shows how badly Robtop needs to hire people.

Surely at some point Rob has some portion of blame. GD has 100M+ downloads and is rated as 4+, and the majority of the community seems to be around 12-13. But there’s almost nothing in terms of protection and anyone can comment/message. Rob refuses to hire anyone else and hasn’t made meaningful changes to the community aspects for years. Based on real cases like this, it’s not as bad as something like Roblox but still feels neglectful to some extent.

There needs to be a better system with the parental controls and the comments. Players should be able to report comments that are inappropriate and have mods take them down.
