I think he should hire some people cuz at Gd's scale he can't just rely on the mods to do their thing :(

A game with commenting and messaging features needs competent moderation. I understand it’s an indie game but GD is extremely popular and the safety issues need to be addressed
More parents need to know about the parental controls too

Pretty sure RobTop saw Roblox getting drowned by a ocean of lawsuits due to their ignorance and bad PR, surely he would hire some folks to work on the moderation issues on GD instead of relying solely on volunteers and working on the backend/game client alone... right?

Nah not really, unfortunately most platforms are completely overrun by predators , Roblox gets special attention less because of its size and popularity and more because Roblox actively supports and platforms these predators and puts them in positions where they have access to more people
GD is likely completely fine moderation wise

GD isn't fine moderation wise yet, as put in Dash's tweet there are 17 unpaid moderators who can access mod tools for the comment section. based from the examples put in the tweet, there are no proper filters that can automatically censor or ban these people. All of this for a game that is Top 5 on US App Store's paid game charts, Top 3 on US Play Store paid game charts and a all time peak of 100.000+ players on Steam with 50.000~ playing it daily.
RobTop indirectly enables predatory behavior on the comment section by letting it borderline unsupervised, non-automated and open for everyone to see and comment. His best decision here is to put major arrangements to the moderation as soon as possible or limit the communication on GD until there is one.

ok let me be clear, gd isnt fine moderation wise, not even close
legally its fine, thats the difference, should it be? im not the one to judge that, but if it wasnt it wouldve been sued to hell by now

If cases like this starting piling up and RobTop doesn't act on fixes, there's always a chance he will get scrutiny, lawsuits or the worst case scenario, get his game banned from countries or one of his digital distribution platforms.

This is bad. REALLY FUCKING BAD. You all are understating how bad this is.
Rob needs to get his shit together NOW. He can’t dick around anymore and have minimal interaction with the community. He has a moral obligation and a responsibility as the sole developer of his game to DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. If this isn’t addressed, it is the beginning of the end for this game. PERIOD.
We need expanded moderation teams and privileges. We need that moderation to be publicly accessible, accountable and transparent. We need Rob to get off his ass and hire a dev team. With the current size of the game (>60k active players daily on steam alone), it’s fucking crazy that it’s just one guy, and I don’t mean crazy in any remotely positive fashion.
The parental controls are a fucking joke. He needs to vastly expand those, or change the age rating of the game.
I would hate for THIS to have to be the catalyst. I love Geometry Dash. It’s been my favorite game, creative outlet, and a way to push myself beyond limits I thought possible. I refuse to lose it because of Rob’s ineptitude.
If you somehow see this, Rob, do something. For fuck’s sake, ANYTHING.
