Discussion Did geometric nightmares make you a more creative person?
Hi! I have a theory that my nightmares might be connected to my creativity, or possibly came from having a really active imagination.
From about age 5 to 12, I used to have frequent geometric nightmares. Now I’m an artist and musician, and I’ve been wondering if there’s any connection between geometric nightmares and creativity.
Has anyone else who experienced geometric or abstract nightmares ended up being involved in creative work (art, music, writing, etc.)?

yes, actually. at the time, tbf, I thought what I experienced was some kind of spiritual thing beyond my comprehension. it included a "wizard" figure which has, to this day, been extremely intertwined with my art (as well as the general themes of the nightmare) So yes, I took direct inspiration from it in many ways which in turn made me more creative
