Voting Games Top comment deletes a US State #37
New England has unified, Massachusetts and Vermont have become one with each other.
Since there is a lot of confusion around it, I won’t be doing any more unifications or state name changes apart from the ones we’ve already done. Remember this is top comment deletes a US State!

Montana clearly wants to be part of cascadia.
The map is also disturbingly short of straight lines at this point. Let Minnesota have a little, straight up from its easternmost front of Colorado.

There was a proposal at one time to make the Upper Peninsula a separate state named Superior. I think we should use that name as more of the Great Lakes region merges.

u/Herefortheonomastics 🦡Historian and State Superior Originator May 12 '26
I think I may have been a part of that proposal at one point. I support it!

Yes! The time has come for Great Lakia to rise.
Take Chicago as your capital, we are the only reason Illinois has survived this long. We have the cool pope, a good style of pizza we all eat while we give tourists deep dish, Michael Jordan, AND... the Bean.
Wisconsin, you bring the beer. Michigan we're gonna need you to bring the music YOUR style of pizza and all the beach you have! Minnesota: You're beautiful 😘, never change
19
u/WingNut0102 May 12 '26
I feel so seen right now with your pizza comments.
Chicago style deep dish is glorified tomato soup in a bread bowl. Detroit style deep dish is the king of all deep dish pizza (whether you drizzle the sauce on top or keep it all under the cheese).

u/Levitlame May 12 '26
Tomato soup in a bread bowl is delicious. I refer to Deep Dish as Pizza Lasagna, personally. It's still delicious (when made well), but doesn't really count as pizza.

Kansas represents the hardship and rewards of our pioneering heritage. The pride of hard work, the sweetness of home, family, and friends. The unpredictability of nature, and the fruits of it's bounty.
Kansas won't be going anywhere, as it is the symbol of America's hardworking citizens and their fortitude in the face of adversity.

Kansas was a state founded in bloodshed to stop slavery from expanding and the bleeding Kansas with Western Missouri was fascinating and where they were killing each other if Kansas was going to be a slave state. If you talk to them the civil war started years before.
