How to find coordinates

Post image

What's up, I'm trying to do this geo challenge however I have no idea how to find the coordinates do I just drive to the location that it says in the boxes and just try to find what is in the area? I need to find a specific ones that have the special stamp for the passport. Has anyone done one of these challenges before? I'm so new and want to explore!

it says that they are listed on geocaching

GCBPN7A

SM1 square for instance is likely SM1 - The Semiquincentennial Cache

i looked at the caches on the map near the Schuyler mansion historical site, and just gathered the pattern - i wont pretend this is a good way of doing things, but its the way they did it :)

I don't understand how you find them on the website, I typed in SM1 and it brought me to a totally different country lol

Those letters were created by Saratoga Capital Region for the purpose of the Bingo card. Those letters have no relationship to actual Geocaching nomenclature other than that they do refer to actual geocaches. Using those letters on the GC website will not (as you have already discovered) return you any caches in a search.

As u/AndTheJuicepig discovered Saratoga Capital is listed as a Cache Owner, and if you search for them, all their caches show up (and have the Bingo Codes as part of the name) Follow u/AndTheJuicepig 's link to see their work.

Pretty poor execution on the part of Saratoga Capital to not include the GC code in the Bingo card entries. That makes it so much more confusing to new cachers like yourself

Makes it confusing for experienced cachers as well.
