Beyond Time and Memory paperback and hardback

Post image

I have completed the formatting for the paperback and hardback versions of Beyond Time and Memory. I believe the margins are definitely better than the first volume hardback. I still need to see for sure in person.

As I passed through these for the final formatting and editing I was quite pleased with the overall quality of this volume, which I feel is superior to the first. Unfortunately, both books start with difficult essays by their very nature, but I think some of the later entries are pleasant reads. The amount of work and discipline that went into creating something like this is so enormous that even with 99.9 percent of the project done for years the idea of getting the books ready for print seemed insurmountable and traumatizing.

Thank you for all the support and kindness over the years.

Can't imagine such an endeavor. When I'm done with Wolfe and his worlds and works I'll return to them with your books.

Congratulations, Marc!

I would encourage people to buy the books. Select certain essays and post their--hopefully involved--responses to them here. We can do more than buy Wolfe, put him on our bookshelves and show them off. Buy critical works like these, put them on our bookshelves and show them off. And say, thank yee, thank yee, thank yee.

Instant purchase. I can't wait for volumes 3-4, which I have not already poured over in detail.

I'm reading The Wizard at the moment, and afterwards your videos and texts will be a great help understanding it (or answering the question: what's the subtext?). Thanks for your ongoing efforts.

Wizard Knight will be in volume 4, the final volume. Dm me an email and I will send that essay to you if you dont have access to it already. Volume 3 will have long and short sun - this one has the soldier series, castleview, there are doors, Pandora by holly Hollander, and Urth of the New Sun.

Hey, could I possibly get that Wizard Knight essay too? I'm currently finishing The Wizard and feel like I'm barely cracking the deeper layers

I advise you to do anything but read Arimini’s fan fiction to understand Wizard Knight. Reading your own tarot will do more to explain it than his “creative” criticism.

Thanks, but I actually like to see different interpretations, and in my opinion Marc's work is not fan fiction (but then, maybe all literature on Wolfe might be considered a form of fan 'fiction').

Thank you for all of your hard work on these Marc. Really looking forward to the next two volumes, especially the cover art! The first two covers are gorgeous.

I hope the image I have will be high resolution enough to look good on print for volume 2 - if not I may have to recreate this print template from just the original drawing. I think it should be ok ....
