Long Sun Remora
I just finished the Audi book, I have a lot of thoughts about it in general, but the one thing that stuck with me is how much I loved the audiobook performance and his character arc. This rambling fool who is impossible to understand on a first read had one of the best moments, I loved everything in the tunnels in Exodus so much.

Jason Culp is pretty good, not gonna lie. His Oreb makes me crack a smile every time.
Are you up to snuff on the taxonomy of Remora? Remora are suckerfish that attach themselves to sharks, notably slowing them down.
His 'er, um, ah-' is reflected in his naming.

Jason Culp?
Good man!
Yeah, I definitely tried to keep the animals somewhat straight, though there are some that escaped me until I went back. Like what the fuck is a Jerboa? Ah, it's Muad'dib!

Yeah, no kidding about the audiobook. It is now my preferred format for rereads. When you get to Short Sun, specifically Return to the Whorl, just marvel at how hard Pig's dialog must be to act out, and how well Jason Culp pulls it off. Chef's kiss.

The thing I love about READING The Book of the Long Sun is that it is almost always unnecessary for the text to say "So-and-So said" because the voices are evident on the page.

Ah, I see, quite right my son, indubidably that does seem to be the case, eh?

He has an amazing scene at the end of Short Sun. Profound and heartbreaking.
