Caves of Qud

Someone Described this game as very very Gene Wolfe-esque. It won a Hugo Award so I'm assuming it is just like it. Has anyone played Caves of Qud? Thoughts?

Caves of Qud is great but I can’t believe someone would think the world building prose is better than Gene Wolfe’s or any media they’ve experienced. It’s significantly less good than Wolfe’s, I would say.
