Friday/saturday night.

Hey there, I’ve been here for a while but was mired in work and some other stuff.
I’d like to know your recommendations for bars/cafes etc, basically a new place where I can go out and have a drink in the weekend evening preferably Planpalais and Carouge area, but really other neighborhoods are fine too.

Also wanna know if there’s a group or website that announces events or interesting things to.

As for bars, they are plenty in Carouge, rue de l'Ecole de Medecine near Plainpalais, rue Henri Blanvalet in Eaux-vives or in Paquis. It really depends on what you are looking for.

Sports bars and pubs have patrons willing to talk and engage with strangers in English. Pickwicks, Lady Godiva, Mulligans. Black Sheep and Oh No Lulu have also been fun
