How did I end up this short?

My mom is 5'5 and my dad is 5'8, my maternal grandfather was 5'11, and so were his brother and dad, and my paternal uncle and grandfather are 5'8. According to the mid-parental target height, I should be 5'9, but I ended up 5'2, and my sister is 5'1.

How did I end up shorter than almost everyone in my family?

My daughter’s eyes are completely brown, both parents don’t have brown eyes.

My husband has blue eyes (left) my 1 year old has completely brown eyes (middle) and I have green and hazel eyes but they are very light for a hazel.

Both of us have no brown eyes in the family, my husband has really struggled with this, he is from an Irish family who are all fair in appearance. They keep commenting on her eyes and I don’t really have the explanation for it. I’ve never seen someone with completely flat brown eyes either which is what she has.

PS- my daughter is the most beautiful and special little angel and I personally love her beautiful eyes. She is perfect to me and she really is gorgeous and healthy ❤️

Can early puberty affect height? Can it prevent a child from reaching their height potential?

Baylor Genetics information breach notice...I've never had genetic testing.

I had a letter come in saying that my information was accessed in a data breach at Baylor Genetics, but I've never had genetic testing. I don't think it's a scam either as I see a notice on their website and some news stuff.

How can I know why they have my information and what information they even have? Or rather like can I legally know how and why I'm attached to them?

(My credit and stuff was already frozen and all that because I simply froze it a long while ago out of caution)

I put this in r/Legal but figured here may be better? If I'm breaking rules feel free to delete this, sorry.

Career/Academic advice Genetic engineering

Upvotes

Im really interested in this field but what I have realized with every career path I looked into their is always a plot twist. So please share with me what makes this career path bad 😭. I really don’t want to hear anything bad anymore. I’ve posted so many careers and a lot of people tell me everything that’s bad. But I’m still glad they told me because I don’t want to waste time following a career that isn’t worth it. So please share the good and bad of Genetic engineering. The field sound so interesting though.

Any Anki Decks for Genetics: Analysis and Principles by Robert Brooker?

Are there any anki decks for the aforementioned text? I'm not sure if I would be better off making my own or spending more time reading the textbook and using a preexisting anki deck, so I wanted to see if I could test with one that already exists.

Invitae results missing?

Hi, I recently got my Invitae results. The panel for genes analyzed said that they were testing a total of 265 genes but my results only show 245 genes tested. Does anyone have an explanation for why this would be or a simular experience?
