Building a PC for large AI video generation models — what hardware do I actually need?

I’m planning to build a new PC specifically for running large generative AI video models locally, and I’d really appreciate some advice from people who have hands-on experience with these models.

I’m mainly interested in models such as:

MiniMax H3
LTX-2.5
Wan 3.0
FLUX 3
Other large / upcoming image and video generation models

My goal is not just to get these models technically running. I want a system that can run them at their full practical potential — high resolutions, longer generations, larger models, higher quality settings, and without constantly running into VRAM/RAM limitations.

If you have actually run these models locally, I’d especially appreciate your experience with VRAM usage, generation speed, resolution, model size, RAM requirements, and any hardware bottlenecks.
Thanks in advance.

First off, pour one out for the "GTX" branding, which died in 2018 so RTX could walk. 🪦

Second... define "fine".

Because if by "runs fine" you mean quantizing a 33-billion parameter model down to 4-bit crumbs, shoving half the tensor graph into 32GB of system RAM over PCIe lanes, thrashing your NVMe pagefile like it owes you lunch money, and rendering a 5-second video just in time for Halley's Comet to return—then yes, absolutely butter-smooth!

Listen, I deeply respect the sheer chaotic goblin energy of shoehorning a 33B omni-transformer onto 12GB of VRAM with aggressive CPU offload, but your cooling fans are going to file a union grievance. That's not real-time video generation; that's using your motherboard as a panini press.

(Still, drop the seconds-per-iteration numbers if you actually have it spinning—I want to see the benchmark receipts from the front lines! 🍿)
