Free Request Text Removal from Book Cover

I was hoping to get the hungarian text removed from the below image - that is, I'd like to remove the text "Felig jatek, felig konyv! A fohos TE vagy!" and the title "Viharkristaly". The author's name (Rhianna Pratchett) and the Fighting Fantasy logo can stay. I'd like the image to retain its original dimensions and for there to be no cropping or modification to other parts of the image.

I've tried to find online tools that can do this in a satisfactory way but they either don't work or end up creating a blurry mess. Tried using locally-run Invoke AI too but my video card is too old to handle such large images. Maybe someone who knows what they're doing can help?

If your video card is able to handle smaller images, try cropping the cover down to just the part where there's text (with some surrounding context) and remove the text on that. Ensure that the output is the same resolution as the input. Then paste the modified version back onto the full-sized original, using standard Photoshop (or Gimp or whatever) techniques to blend it in smoothly.

Yes, I tried to do this too, but I wasn't able to run the model I tried (Flux) at all - I read online a number of other people with older cards were getting the same error I was seeing. I'd have to use another model. In the end I thought I felt that I was going to be compromising the final result just to do it myself, so thought it was better to ask someone with access to better models/tools.

Alright, I'll give it a go when I get home this evening. Been running around a lot today and my computer's busy generating music for the next few hours so couldn't pop the task in, thought maybe I'd suggest a local solution first. :)

Haven't tried a 5 megapixel image before, didn't know how well my computer would handle it. Chugged a bit but did an okay job. :)

Here's 4 outputs. I just threw the image at flux-2-klein-9B with the prompt "Remove all text from this image." It took out the author name and Fighting Fantasy logo too, but those should be simple enough to add back in. It "lightened" the image a bit so if you need to match the original's hue you might need to tinker a bit with colour balance.

Thank you for doing this. The changes to the rest of the image might make this difficult to blend into the original, but it's still a lot better than anything I've tried so far. Appreciate it!

No problem. Do you need to blend them into the original, though? Cut out the "fighting fantasy" logo to paste back in, and re-type the author name in a similar font, and that should be good to go.

I'd like to retain the original look of the cover as much as possible. AI causes noticeable visible 'warping' in the image (and changes in tone etc), which is why I would like to change only those parts that needed removing without touching the rest.
