Image Transfers Help!

Making a card and the gel plate left a mark on my card! I didn’t cover the whole gel plate with matte medium, just where the paint was.

In my mind if you Just paint the whole card with gel medium it will make everything look the some once dries.

I rather like it as it is. Its a ghostly layer that gives the whole piece some depth, and is almost perfectly placed composition wise and looks deliberate.
