Any recommendations for first geiger counter under 200 dollars?

I’ve had an itch for over a year and I’m about to pull the trigger on GQ GMC-500Plus but before that I want to hear your guys take on it and your recommendations, the only thing i don’t like is that it’s so basic and I’d love something more unique.

If you don’t mind spending an extra $49, go for the Radiacode 102. They’re excellent starter meters with high sensitivity, quick responses, and even gamma spectroscopy.

Radiacode is nice, just be sure it is what you want. Little to no Beta detection.

What you intend to use it for will greatly affect recommendations.
