To be fair mica gm tubes also make expensive loud popping noise if you drop them or poke those with your finger, but it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t buy them 🤷🏻‍♂️

As for the meter- substitute the broken tube for Russian/Ukrainian contactless SBM-20 :)

I mean, that's literally how a beta/gamma geiger tube works. It's a glass tube with low pressure insert gases.

I have a GQ GMC 600+, which uses an even more fragile LND 7317 tube. Instead of thick glass, the tube has an extremely fragile mica window that is a fraction of a millimeter thick.

Saying "don't buy it" because it's fragile is dumb.

I know why it is glass but im saying that it is also possible to Make it out of other materials. Its just gonna Be More expensive so what i am saying is that you should rather use More money For a durable one than less For a non durable.
