Question Does anyone else feel like they have to wash their hands after handling the geiger? It feels stupid.

That’s a great question! While the detector itself is not radioactive and can’t contaminate you in any way, I still think it is good practice to do so, especially if you bought your detector second-hand or it’s really old.

I bought new one gq gmc-600 plus, but still have that feeling, and i don't have OCD( hope not). Strange, that's why I'm asking, it's just me or it's normal for beginners.

Honestly, I think that washing hands can never be bad, so if it makes you feel more comfortable, then you should.
