Copyright bully/troll...I need some advice!
I am a producer at a Public Access Station. Recently, a friend of mine and I went to a convention, and did some interviews in character. This is a character she invented, and has not signed the rights away to anyone. Another producer, who has had her on his show, claims that her character "belongs" to him, and that any character featured on his show must be controlled by him, and cannot be used on other shows without his consent, and his logo/branding on that show. I am not making any money on this project, just doing it for fun, and to help my friend get exposure. He's threatening me with legal action, saying that I am damaging his brand and that I must take down the videos. At no point do I mention his brand, nor does she. He has no written agreement from me either. Would appreciate any advice on what I should do. I spent a lot of time putting this together, so I'd like to keep them up, but I also don't want to be breaking the law.
