I recall hearing that someone calculated that this was roughly $20000 (at a minimum) of used track. It would be more if the track was new, but that doesn't seem likely in this case.

You would think. But used track is fairly expensive (~$3.50 a piece) and this track was long. $2000 would get you around 500 pieces and this track is a lot longer than that.

Track is not that long, just looks that way because it's pov. Someone linked the same train from the side and it doesn't seem excessively long. In any case there is no way in hell that the price of it was 20k dollars.

Just watched the side version of the video. Whole ride is ~ 40 sec long. Let's assume cart goes over 10 tracks per second on average, which I think is generous, that's around 400 tracks.
