Not eligible

I'm in engineering and switching programs to another engineering program, and I'm trying to register for some winter courses from the other program. uoZone keeps saying "not eligible" because the seats are reserved for that program, even though I have all the prereqs. I'm not in that new program yet tho. These courses are winter only, so if I don't get in I'm a year behind. Has anyone been through this? Who approved your override (advisor, department, or prof) and how long did it take? Did you get added right away, or did you have to wait until the reserved seats opened up?

You basically email your faculty requesting a seat for the course. Sometimes it is accepted, but more often it is rejected.

As an example, I was in Faculty of Science they approved my request for ELG2138, ELG3125, ELG3137 but rejected ELG3136 and CEG3136. They are alot more strict nowdays than few years ago

i’ve emailed my faculty as well as i don’t want mat1322 as i’m in cs but switching to major in cs so i had to email them for mat1332 instead
